Short & clear

Successful digitalization for SMEs does not begin with software, but with the workflows that cost the most time today – duplicate data entry, paper forms or Excel lists that only one person understands. A good solution prioritizes these bottlenecks, relies on suitable standard software or custom development, connects systems through interfaces and brings the team along during rollout. For implementation projects, use our packages as a guide: Starter from €2,500, Professional from €8,000 and Enterprise priced individually.

Digitalization for SMEs with Nano Concepts

In many small and mid-sized companies, day-to-day business works – but with a lot of manual effort. Orders are retyped from emails, inventory is kept in Excel, timesheets are collected on paper and transferred at the end of the month. Digitalization for SMEs means closing these gaps systematically: capturing data only once, making information available where it is needed, and automating routine work. That saves time, avoids transcription errors and makes your company less dependent on individual people.

01

We start with an assessment of your workflows and systems and prioritize by effort and benefit. Sometimes suitable standard software is enough, sometimes all that is missing is an interface between store, inventory management and accounting, and sometimes a custom web app is the better choice. We honestly recommend what fits your company – even if that means developing nothing new. In the end you have a roadmap that shows which measure comes when and what it changes day to day.

02

Digitalization for the Mittelstand rarely fails because of technology, but because of rollout. That is why we plan in manageable steps, involve employees early and, together with our IT service partners, make sure that workstations, devices and network keep pace. Whether funding is an option for your project is something you should check early with the responsible bodies – programs and conditions change regularly. Our notes on this do not replace funding or tax advice.

What matters with Digitalization for SMEs

Clear priorities

Not everything at once: first come the workflows that occur most often or cause the most errors.

Connected systems

Store, inventory management, CRM and accounting should exchange data instead of maintaining information twice.

Involving employees

Those who work with the solution every day should have a say early on – that increases acceptance and uncovers gaps.

Legal obligations in view

Data protection, retention obligations and e-invoicing affect many digitalization projects; clarify the details with your legal or tax advisor.

Solutions that grow with you

Software and infrastructure should grow with the company, without starting over for every new employee or location.

Features

These are the features we build for you

Process and system analysis

We map workflows, manual hand-offs between systems and existing software, and show where time is lost.

Software selection consulting

Neutral comparison of standard solutions based on your requirements – or a reasoned recommendation to develop custom.

Interfaces and integration

Connecting store, ERP, CRM, DATEV (accounting software widely used in Germany) or e-invoicing so that data is entered only once.

Custom web apps and portals

Where standard software doesn’t fit, we develop custom applications, for example to replace Excel lists that have grown over the years.

Process automation

Recurring workflows such as receipt capture, notifications or data transfers run automatically.

IT infrastructure with partner teams

We implement workstations, devices and rollouts on site together with RELEDER and FAIMA IT Services.

Practical examples

Here's what that looks like day to day

Wholesaler with orders by email

Orders arrive by email and are transferred by hand into the inventory management system. A customer portal or automatic order import eliminates the duplicate entry.

Service provider with paper timesheets

Employees note their jobs on paper, and the office transfers them at the end of the month. Mobile time tracking sends the data straight into billing.

Manufacturer with Excel-based planning

Job scheduling lives in an Excel file that only one person can operate confidently. A web app with permissions and change history makes the planning usable for the whole team.

Process

Four steps to your solution

  1. Initial consultation & goalsWe clarify where things get stuck today and what should improve in your company.
  2. Analysis & roadmapWe prioritize the measures and set a roadmap in manageable steps.
  3. Phased implementationSoftware, interfaces and automations are rolled out step by step and tested with your team.
  4. Rollout & further developmentWe brief the users, support the launch and develop the solution further as needed.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Digitalization for SMEs

Best with a workflow that comes up often and noticeably costs time, such as order entry, time tracking or incoming invoices. A short assessment shows where the biggest lever is. Further steps then follow in manageable stages.

Workflows that run today on paper, by email or in standalone spreadsheets are replaced by connected digital tools. That ranges from digital time tracking and customer portals to automatic receipt processing. The goal is fewer errors, faster workflows and better information for decisions.

There is no flat sum, because starting points and scope vary greatly. For implementation projects, use our packages as a guide: Starter from €2,500, Professional from €8,000 and Enterprise priced individually. You receive the exact quote after the free initial consultation.

In Germany, the federal government and the states repeatedly offer funding programs for digitalization, consulting or IT security; however, conditions and terms change regularly. Check current programs with the responsible funding agencies, chambers or your bank before you place an order. On request we provide the project description, but we cannot give a funding commitment.

For standard tasks such as financial accounting, proven standard software usually makes sense. A custom solution pays off when your workflows are a competitive advantage or standard products only fit with many workarounds. We advise neutrally and also recommend ready-made solutions when they fit.

By involving them early, testing workflows together and planning the rollout in stages. Short introductions and a fixed point of contact for questions help during the start phase. That way the new solution becomes part of daily work instead of an additional obligation.
