Short & clear

API development connects systems such as ERP, CRM, online store and accounting through interfaces so that data flows automatically instead of by hand; Nano Concepts develops REST APIs, integrations, middleware and backends for this, including documentation, security and monitoring. Individual, clearly defined integrations are possible in the Starter package from €2,500, backends and integrations of several systems in the Professional package from €8,000, and complex system landscapes in the Enterprise package, priced individually. It starts with a free initial consultation, after which you receive a transparent quote.

Build a custom integration: connect your systems automatically

In many companies, ERP, CRM, online store, accounting and warehouse management run side by side. Orders are retyped, customer data is maintained twice, stock levels are reconciled by export. API development ends this manual work: we build interfaces through which your systems exchange data automatically and traceably – in real time or at fixed intervals, depending on what your workflow needs.

01

Besides connecting existing systems, we develop backends for new applications. A well-planned backend with a documented API is the foundation on which web app, mobile app and partner integrations can all build at the same time. We pay attention to clear versioning, secure authentication, meaningful error messages and complete logging – so problems stand out quickly and can be fixed precisely.

02

This experience comes from practice: for a real estate CRM portal, for example, we implemented an integration with the broker software onOffice. Our own comparison portal Tarifemaxx.de runs fully automated – with connected partners and processes that work in the background without manual intervention. We apply this knowledge when we connect your system landscape: pragmatic, documented and with an eye on later operations.

03

When orders are retyped, customer data is maintained twice or inventory is reconciled via exports, a suitable interface is usually missing. We build the connection between your systems – as an API integration with your online store, CRM or accounting, or as an interface to ERP systems that automatically syncs orders, prices and stock levels. Nano Concepts handles concept, development, documentation and monitoring, so data flows stay traceable at all times and errors are spotted quickly.

04

Besides system integration, we develop backends for new applications. A cleanly planned REST API is the foundation on which a web app, a mobile app and partner connections can all build at once. Whether you want a custom API built or want to stabilize an existing integration: the cost of an API integration depends on how many systems are involved and how well their interfaces are documented. After the free initial consultation you receive a transparent quote.

Scope of services

API integration and backend development: our services

APIs and backends that connect ERP, CRM, store and apps – automatic data exchange instead of retyping.

REST & GraphQL APIs

New programming interfaces for your applications and partners – clearly structured, versioned and documented with OpenAPI.

ERP, CRM & store integration

Integration of systems such as inventory management, CRM, online store or accounting through their existing interfaces.

Webhooks & real-time sync

Events such as new orders or status changes immediately trigger follow-up processes in other systems.

Middleware & data mapping

Where systems speak different formats, we translate, validate and clean the data on its way between the applications.

Authentication & security

Access protection with OAuth 2.0, API keys and rate limiting, plus encrypted transmission of all data.

Monitoring & error handling

Logs, retry logic and notifications on failures, so no record gets lost unnoticed.

Your benefits

Why companies choose us

No more retyping

Data is captured once and passed on automatically. That saves time and prevents transfer errors.

A reliable data foundation

Customer, item and order data are up to date in all connected systems.

Existing systems stay

Instead of introducing everything anew, we connect what already works – protecting your previous investments.

Foundation for automation

Clean APIs are the prerequisite for apps, partner portals, AI features and automated workflows.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about API development

That depends on how many systems are involved and how well their interfaces are documented. Individual, clearly defined connections can be implemented in the Starter package from €2,500, backends and integrations of several systems in the Professional package from €8,000. Complex system landscapes are quoted individually in the Enterprise package.

A single connection between two well-documented systems is often productive within a few weeks. When data cleanup, multiple systems or coordination with third-party providers are required, we plan in stages. We give you a realistic estimate of the timeframe after the system analysis.

After the free initial consultation we create a system map and an integration concept. We then develop, test with approved real data and take the interface live after your acceptance. In operation, we monitor the data flows.

Then we examine alternatives such as database access, file exchange via CSV or XML, email import or add-on modules offered by the vendor. Not every solution is equally robust – we show you the pros and cons and recommend the most stable route.

We transmit data encrypted, secure access with methods such as OAuth 2.0 or API keys and grant only the permissions an interface really needs. Access is logged so that every data flow can be traced.

Vendors occasionally change their interfaces or retire old versions. Under a maintenance contract, we keep an eye on such changes, adapt your integrations in time and respond to error messages from monitoring.

An API is a defined interface through which two programs exchange data without anyone having to transfer it by hand. With a REST API, this happens via web addresses and standardized requests to retrieve, create, change or delete data, usually transmitted in JSON format. Access keys or methods such as OAuth 2.0 ensure that only authorized systems get access.

The frontend is everything users see and operate – interfaces, forms, tables. The backend works in the background: it stores data, checks permissions, runs business logic and provides interfaces for web app, mobile app or partners. At Nano Concepts we develop both, so frontend and backend fit together cleanly.

Yes, we check the right route for it – for example the official interfaces and data formats of the respective vendor or existing add-on modules. For some vendor interfaces, a registration or certain licenses are required; we clarify that with you before the project starts. That way you know in advance which route is technically stable and economically sensible.

That depends on how you create and receive invoices today. Since 2025, companies in Germany must be able to receive e-invoices in the B2B sector, while the obligation to send them is being introduced in stages. We check whether your systems already support formats such as XRechnung or ZUGFeRD or whether a connection is needed. This does not replace legal or tax advice.

A backend includes the database and data model, the business logic, a documented API, user and permission management, and background processes such as email delivery or scheduled syncs. On top of that come hosting, automated deployments, logging and monitoring. We plan these building blocks so that your backend can grow with increasing usage and new applications.
