Manufacturing & Industry: software that fits your workflows

In many manufacturing companies, planning, production and sales each work with their own tools: the ERP in the office, Excel lists in production planning, paper notes at the machine. Good software for manufacturing and industry closes exactly these gaps. It ensures that orders, production feedback and quality data reach the people who need them without retyping – and that decisions are based on current figures rather than yesterday's numbers.

01

Nano Concepts has been developing software for businesses for more than 10 years. For manufacturers, we build costing tools with your own pricing logic, supplier and customer portals, interfaces between ERP and production planning, and apps for service technicians that work even without a network connection on the shop floor. We don't replace what works well – we connect existing systems in a meaningful way.

02

Design and user guidance are created together with our partner agency LOMA DESIGN, located at the same site in Dudenhofen near Speyer. That way, your employees get interfaces that remain easy to understand even under time pressure on the production line. For replacing workstations, industrial PCs and network equipment, we work with our IT service partners RELEDER and FAIMA IT Services across Germany.

Challenges

Typical challenges in Manufacturing & Industry

We hear these topics again and again in conversations with companies in the industry.

Isolated systems with no connection

ERP, Excel and machine data capture run side by side. Data is transferred multiple times, retyping causes errors, and no one has a complete overview of an order.

Costing in Excel files

Quotes depend on complex spreadsheets that only one or two employees truly understand. Every change in materials or setup times becomes a risk to your margin.

Feedback from production

Quantities, scrap and downtime are noted on paper and entered later. As a result, planning reacts too late to bottlenecks in production.

Service and maintenance in the field

Service technicians work in halls without stable reception. Reports, photos and customer signatures still need to be reliably documented and passed on to the office.

Knowledge in just a few heads

Older in-house solutions, such as those based on Access, are barely documented. If the only person who knows them is unavailable, an entire process can grind to a halt in the worst case.

Approach

How we work

  1. Understand processes on siteWe start with your actual processes: who captures which data, where do waiting times occur, which systems are fixed? The result is a requirements document that production, office and management approve together.
  2. Connect existing systemsInstead of replacing your ERP, we develop interfaces and extensions that use existing data. Your investment is preserved, and the new solution fits into ongoing operations.
  3. Interfaces for the shop floorInteraction concepts are created with LOMA DESIGN and tested with the future users – with large buttons, clear status indicators and offline capability where the network doesn't reach.
  4. Roll out step by stepWe start with a clearly defined area, such as order feedback, and expand based on real experience. After go-live, we continue to support the software and develop new features.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions: Manufacturing & Industry

That depends mainly on the feature set and interfaces. As a guide: lean web tools start in the Starter package from €2,500, custom software with backend, user roles and ERP integration in the Professional package from €8,000. Systems for multiple plants are priced individually in the Enterprise package – preferably at a fixed price when the scope is clear.

In most cases, yes. What matters is which interfaces your system offers – such as an API, database access or file exports. We check this during the analysis together with your IT department or systems integrator before we make a quote.

Yes, if this is planned from the start. Data is then stored locally on the device and synchronized automatically as soon as a connection is available again. We have already implemented this approach in an app for service technicians with offline sync.

We plan access rights, encryption and logging from the outset and coordinate hosting and data flows with you. Please clarify with your legal advisor which legal requirements apply in your specific case, for example from customer contracts – our assessment is general and does not replace legal advice.

After the free initial consultation, we clarify requirements and interfaces in a workshop and prepare a transparent quote. Once you approve, we develop in stages with regular progress reviews, support the go-live and, if you wish, provide ongoing support for the software.
