Challenge, solution, result

01

The challenge

Oki's on Königsplatz in Germersheim was meant to feel as inviting online as it does on site in the evening: on the go, guests want to see on their smartphone right away whether the shop is open, what's on the menu, and what it costs – and then order or call directly.

02

Our solution

LOMA DESIGN created the brand identity, web design, illustrated panorama, and neon rooster, and reworked every photo. Nano Concepts built the technology: day, evening, and night modes based on the real position of the sun, live opening status, a digital order slip, and a chat assistant – with no trackers.

03

The result

72 pages with 50 dishes and drinks, plus pages for 24 towns in the surrounding area. Guests see at a glance whether Oki's is open right now, put their order together on the slip, and call with a single tap.

Project story

How Oki's Knusperhähnchen came together

01

The starting point: as inviting as an evening on site

Oki's Knusperhähnchen on Königsplatz in Germersheim is all about half crispy chickens, wings, fries, and freshly tapped beer – every evening from 5 p.m. Online, Oki's was meant to feel as inviting as it does on site in the evening. On the go, guests want to see on their smartphone right away whether the shop is open, what’s on the menu, and what it costs – and then order or call directly.

02

The approach: a panorama driven by the sun, an order slip, and chat

LOMA DESIGN created the brand identity and web design, designed the illustrated panorama of the fortress, Königsplatz, and the Rhine bridge, staged the neon rooster on a brick wall, and reworked every photo. Nano Concepts brought the panorama to life: it calculates the position of the sun in Germersheim and switches live between day, evening, and night, while lighting, neon, and the sign follow the opening hours.

On the menu, guests put their order together on a digital order slip, the total is calculated automatically, and then they continue by phone call, message, or sharing. A chat assistant answers questions about opening hours, prices, allergens, and directions. 72 pages with 50 dishes and drinks, plus pages for 24 towns in the surrounding area, provide visibility – with no trackers at all.

  • Day, evening, and night modes based on the real position of the sun
  • Live opening status with a countdown to closing time
  • Digital order slip with automatic total
  • Chat assistant for the menu, prices, allergens, and directions
  • 72 pages, 68 sitemap URLs, and pages for 24 nearby towns

What it means for Oki's

Guests see at a glance whether Oki's is open right now, put their order together on the slip, and call with a single tap. The chat assistant answers questions about allergens or directions instantly – even when nobody can get to the phone during the evening rush. And because the website runs without trackers, it stays lean and privacy-friendly.

How we supported Oki's Knusperhähnchen

A panorama that follows the sun: the website for Oki's with live opening status, a digital order slip, and a chat assistant – with no trackers.

01

Analysis & goals

Oki's on Königsplatz was meant to feel as inviting online as it does on site in the evening. On the go, guests want to see on their smartphone right away whether it’s open, what’s on the menu, and what it costs – and then order or call.

02

Structure & visibility

The website comprises 72 pages with 50 dishes and drinks, plus pages for 24 towns in the surrounding area, covered by 68 sitemap URLs. This makes Oki's easy to find in the region.

03

Brand identity & illustration

LOMA DESIGN created the brand identity and web design, designed the illustrated panorama between the fortress, Königsplatz, and the Rhine bridge, and staged the neon rooster on a brick wall. Every photo was also reworked.

04

Technology that thinks along

Nano Concepts linked the panorama to the real position of the sun in Germersheim and built the live opening status with countdown, the digital order slip with automatic total, and the chat assistant – all without trackers.

05

Operations & expansion

Day to day, the process in the shop stays the same: orders come in by call, message, or sharing. If more is needed later, such as online payment, we work out a suitable extension together.

Result & value

What the project delivers

Open or closed, instantly

Lighting, the neon rooster, and the OPEN/CLOSED sign show live whether Oki's is open – including a countdown to closing time.

Orders put together fast

The digital order slip bundles dishes, total, and a note before guests call or send a message.

Answers anytime

The chat assistant instantly answers questions about the menu, prices, allergens, pickup, and directions.

Visible in the area

72 pages and pages for 24 nearby towns make Oki's easy to find in the region – with no tracking at all.

What we optimised

  • Live opening status: lights, neon rooster, and sign follow the opening hours
  • Orders put together quickly on the digital order slip
  • Visibility in the surrounding area with pages for 24 towns – without tracking

Why it lasts

Because the panorama, lighting, and opening status are calculated automatically from date, time, and opening hours, nobody needs to switch anything in daily operations. The chat assistant answers recurring questions even during the evening rush, and doing without trackers keeps the website lean and privacy-friendly.

FAQ

Common questions about a similar project

It calculates it. For Germersheim, the website determines when the sun rises and sets and switches the panorama live between day, evening, and night. Lighting, neon, and the OPEN/CLOSED sign also follow the real opening hours. No trackers are needed for this – just the date, the time, and the shop’s location.

No, and that isn’t its purpose. Guests put their order together on the slip, see the total, and send it by phone call, message, or sharing. That way, the process in the shop stays as it is. If you need more, such as online payment, we’ll discuss a suitable extension with you.

That mainly depends on the scope of the illustrations, the number of pages, and the rounds of feedback. A project like Oki's, with its own panorama, order slip, and chat assistant, takes more time than a simple website. We draw up a realistic schedule after the initial consultation – aligned with your season and your wishes.
