Headless CMS: maintain content once, publish everywhere

With a headless CMS, we separate editing from presentation – your team maintains content in one place, and your website, app and other channels pull it through an API.

Short & clear

A headless CMS separates content management from presentation: Nano Concepts sets up systems such as Strapi, Directus, Storyblok or headless WordPress with a suitable content model and builds a fast frontend for it, usually with Next.js or Astro, that delivers content to your website, app or store. Projects are delivered through the Starter package from €2,500, Professional from €8,000 or Enterprise (priced individually); CMS license and hosting costs are shown separately. You receive the exact quote after a free initial consultation, for which a short description of your website, channels and editorial team is enough.

Headless CMS agency for website, app and store

A traditional CMS manages content and generates the website at the same time. A headless CMS handles only the first part: it stores text, images and data in a structured way and makes them available through an API. How and where this content appears is decided by a separate front end – a fast website, a mobile app, a customer portal or an info display in the lobby.

01

That pays off as soon as content is needed in several places or the website has high demands for load time and design. Instead of maintaining product information, locations or news several times, your team changes them once. We usually build the front end with Next.js or Astro, and we choose the editorial system to match your team – such as Strapi, Directus, Storyblok or Sanity.

02

What matters most here is the editorial side: a headless CMS is only as good as its content model. We structure content types, fields and approvals so that editors can work without technical knowledge and a preview shows how a post will look later. Design and components are created, if needed, together with LOMA DESIGN at the same location.

03

As a headless CMS agency, we combine simple content editing with a fast, freely designable frontend. Your team maintains text, images and product data in one place; website, app or store pull them in through an API. Whether open-source systems such as Strapi and Directus, a cloud service such as Storyblok or headless WordPress: we choose the system based on your team and your channels, not out of habit. Design and components are created, where needed, with LOMA DESIGN at the same location.

04

Many companies ask first about the cost of a headless CMS. With open-source solutions, the software can often be used without a license fee – the effort is determined by content model, frontend, migration and hosting. That is why we price transparently through our packages. Headless commerce is possible as well: your store system such as Shopware or Shopify stays in the background, with a custom Next.js frontend in front of it. FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Headless CMS

A compact website with a headless CMS is sometimes possible in the Starter package from €2,500, provided the content model and number of pages are manageable. Multiple channels, multilingual setups or migrations we usually implement in the Professional package from €8,000; large content platforms we price individually as Enterprise. License or hosting costs of the chosen CMS are listed separately.

That depends mainly on the content model and on the migration of existing content. A new website with a clear structure is implemented much faster than a platform with several channels. We set the schedule after the content audit.

It is worth it when content serves several channels, load time plays a major role or the front end should be designed freely. For a simple company website without further channels, a traditional CMS such as WordPress is often more economical – and we will tell you so.

Yes. Modern headless systems offer clear interfaces, and with a live preview, editors see how content appears on the website. We set up roles and approvals and train your team.

Yes, WordPress can be run headless via its REST API or GraphQL extensions. This is a good option if your team already knows WordPress but the front end needs modernizing.

After the free initial consultation, we analyze content and channels, choose the CMS and model the content. Then front end and components are built, content is migrated, and after testing and training, the website goes live.

A headless CMS is a content management system without its own presentation layer – that is, “without a head”. It stores content in a structured way and makes it available through an interface (API). A separate frontend determines how the content looks – for example a website built with Next.js, an app or a customer portal.

Systems such as Strapi can be self-hosted as open source without a license fee; license terms do differ by system, however, and cloud variants usually cost a monthly fee. The project is still not free: effort goes into the content model, frontend, hosting and maintenance. We review license terms and ongoing costs with you before the selection.

That depends on your editorial team, your channels and your hosting requirements. Strapi and Directus are suited if you want to run the system yourself and extend it freely; Storyblok offers a visual editor as a cloud service; headless WordPress makes sense if your team already knows WordPress. We compare the options with you and explain our recommendation clearly.

With headless commerce, your store system, such as Shopware or Shopify, remains responsible for products, cart and orders, while a custom frontend handles the presentation. This enables fast load times, free design and the combination of store and editorial content. It is mainly worthwhile for merchants with high demands on design, content or multiple channels.

Yes. We set up self-hosted systems such as Strapi or Directus on servers in German or European data centers on request. For cloud services, we check which server locations the provider offers and document the data flows. That supports your data protection documentation. This does not replace legal advice.
