Short & clear

WordPress development at Nano Concepts covers custom, lean themes, custom Gutenberg blocks, plugin development, WooCommerce and integrations, as well as the takeover, migration and maintenance of existing WordPress websites. A company website with its own theme is usually in the Starter package from €2,500, custom plugins, integrations or portals in the Professional package from €8,000, and Enterprise projects are priced individually. It begins with a free initial consultation; after that you receive a transparent quote that also shows the costs of premium plugins or hosting.

WordPress agency for websites your team maintains itself

WordPress is one of the most widely used content management systems – and that is exactly why we often come across installations with dozens of plugins, purchased themes and page builders that slow each other down. Professional WordPress development takes a different approach: with a custom, lean theme, blocks that fit your content and only the extensions you really need – carefully selected and maintainable in the long run.

01

For your team, this means: texts, images, job postings or references can be maintained in the block editor without the layout shifting. For your company, it means shorter load times, fewer security risks from outdated extensions and a website that can be expanded in a targeted way when needed – for example with a WooCommerce store or an integration with your CRM.

02

How far WordPress can go is shown by the real estate system for an estate agency in Speyer: a property portal with map, live valuation with price estimation, appointment booking and chatbot – integrated directly into WordPress. Design and brand identity are created, if needed, with our partner agency LOMA DESIGN at the same location, while development is handled by Nano Concepts – on request including maintenance and further development after launch.

03

As a WordPress agency, we rely on lean, custom themes rather than bloated purchased themes and page builders. When you have a WordPress website created, you get blocks that fit your content and only the extensions you really need. Your team maintains texts, images and posts itself without the layout falling apart. Our WordPress developers build custom plugins where needed, connect WooCommerce or your CRM, and make sure the site loads fast.

04

We remain your point of contact after launch as well. With a WordPress maintenance contract, we take care of updates, backups and monitoring so that outdated extensions don't become a security risk. We review existing installations before taking them over and, if needed, plan a WordPress migration to new hosting or a cleaned-up theme. You will find out what it costs to have a WordPress site built after the free initial consultation – we show the costs of premium plugins or hosting transparently in the quote.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about WordPress development

A company website with a custom theme is usually covered by the Starter package from €2,500. Custom plugins, integrations or extensive portals such as a real estate system are implemented in the Professional package from €8,000; Enterprise projects are priced individually. Costs for premium plugins or hosting are shown transparently in the quote.

A compact website is often online within a few weeks. For custom plugins or the migration of large content inventories, we plan in milestones. You receive the concrete schedule after the initial consultation.

We prefer the WordPress block editor with custom blocks because it is part of the WordPress core and works without extra bloat. We still take over existing websites built with page builders and check whether a gradual switch makes sense.

Yes. We first review theme, plugins and security status and then suggest cleanup, further development or a rebuild – whichever makes more economic sense.

The WordPress core is actively maintained. Security problems often arise from outdated or poorly maintained extensions and missing updates. That is why we keep installations lean, update regularly and additionally secure logins and forms.

After the free initial consultation, we define the content model and design, develop theme and extensions in a test environment and migrate your content. After testing and training, the website goes live – with ongoing maintenance on request.

WordPress is a content management system: content lives in a database, the theme determines the look, and plugins add features. Editing happens in the backend using the block editor, where you assemble texts, images and sections as blocks and check them in a preview before publishing. With custom blocks, we tailor the editor so that it maps exactly your content types.

In most installations you reach the login by appending “/wp-admin” to your domain and sign in there with username or email address and password. For security reasons, the login address can also differ in individual installations. For projects with us, we set up access with suitable roles for your team and show you in an onboarding session how to maintain content.

It typically includes regular updates of the WordPress core, theme and plugins, backups and monitoring of the website. We agree the exact scope – such as response times or minor content changes – with you and record it in the quote. That keeps your website up to date without you having to take care of every update yourself.

Yes. We transfer files and database, adjust addresses and configuration, and test the website thoroughly before the domain is switched. We check the SSL certificate, redirects and forms so that the move goes as smoothly as possible for visitors. On request, we use the opportunity to clean up outdated plugins at the same time.

Yes. Custom plugins make sense when a feature doesn't exist as a ready-made extension or when several purchased plugins are to be replaced by a lean solution – for example for bookings, calculators or integrations with your CRM. We develop plugins according to WordPress standards, document them and keep them compatible with new WordPress versions as part of maintenance.
