Website for clubs: showcase club life and take the load off your volunteers

Whether a sports club, music association, booster club or allotment garden association: the website is often the first point of contact for new members, parents and sponsors. We build club websites that are still up to date after the board changes.

Short & clear

A good website for clubs informs members and prospects about events, training times and contacts, and can be maintained by rotating volunteers without technical knowledge. The domain and access credentials should belong to the club, not to an individual, and internal documents belong in a protected members' area. At Nano Concepts, a club website is possible in the Starter package from €2,500; with a members' area or online registrations, it tends to fall under the Professional package from €8,000 – the exact quote follows after the free initial consultation.

Website for Clubs & Associations with Nano Concepts

A club website rarely fails because of design, but because of upkeep. The webmaster who built it years ago is no longer on the board, nobody knows the password, and the homepage still advertises the summer festival from two years ago. That is why we build your club homepage so that department heads, coaches or the press officer can update their own content themselves – with their own logins and clearly limited permissions.

01

For a sports club, training times, teams, match reports and the trial session are the most important content. A music association needs concert dates and youth recruitment, an allotment garden association information on available plots, garden rules and the waiting list. What they all have in common: prospects want to know quickly when they can drop by and whom to contact. An online membership application saves paper forms and retyping data. Parents sign up their children conveniently from home, and the treasurer receives all the details in full.

02

Nonprofit clubs also benefit from a donations and sponsors page that visibly recognizes supporters. Internal documents such as meeting minutes or hall schedules belong in a protected members' area. Domain, hosting and logins are registered to the club, so nothing is lost at the next board change. The presence is designed with LOMA DESIGN – on request to match your crest, club colors and jersey. Sponsors see at a glance how their support reaches the club.

What matters with Website for Clubs & Associations

Maintenance by volunteers

Content has to be updatable without prior knowledge, even from a smartphone right after the game. Roles and permissions prevent the whole site from being changed by accident.

Access belongs to the club

Domain, hosting and administrator logins should be registered to the club and documented. That keeps the website operational at every board change.

Care with member data and photos

Membership applications, bank details for fee collection and photos of members – especially children – require careful handling and appropriate consent. We implement the technical side; you should have the consent wording reviewed legally.

Complete legal notice for clubs

The legal notice (Impressum) should include, among other things, the club's name, address, the board members authorized to represent it and, for registered associations (e.V.), the register court and registration number. This overview does not replace legal advice.

Predictable operation

Club budgets are tight. Hosting, updates and security maintenance should be predictable instead of triggering new costs with every problem.

Features

These are the features we build for you

Event and match schedule calendar

Training times, match days, concerts and meetings in one calendar, filterable by department or team.

Department and team pages

Each department maintains its own page with coaches, times, reports and images – through its own login.

Online membership application

A digital application form with fee selection and details for direct debit collection, which reaches the board encrypted and with minimal data collection.

Protected members' area

Meeting minutes, bylaws, fee schedule, hall bookings or event photos for members only – with login and roles.

Sponsors and donations page

Partners and supporters are recognized with logo and link; donors find the bank details and information on donation receipts.

Hosting & maintenance

On request, we take over hosting, updates, backups and security maintenance, so that the club can concentrate on club life.

Practical examples

Here's what that looks like day to day

Sports club with several departments

Soccer, gymnastics and table tennis have so far maintained separate pages or only social media channels. A shared website bundles everything, each department gets its own logins, and prospects sign up for a trial session directly.

Allotment garden association with a waiting list

Prospects keep asking about available gardens. The website explains the garden rules, lease and process, and a form collects waiting-list applications in a structured way.

Nonprofit booster club

A school's booster club wants to show projects and raise donations. Project reports, a donations page and an online membership application make it easy for parents to get involved.

Process

Four steps to your solution

  1. Conversation with the boardWe clarify who will maintain which content in future, which areas are public and which are internal, and what the existing site can do.
  2. Structure & rolesDepartments, events, members' area and logins are defined; LOMA DESIGN designs to match your club colors.
  3. Implementation & migrationWe build the website, carry over important content from the old site and, on request, migrate the domain and email addresses.
  4. Training for volunteersEveryone who maintains content receives a short briefing and an easy-to-follow guide for reference.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Website for Clubs & Associations

The price depends on the scope, the number of departments and features such as a members' area or online registration. A compact club website is possible in the Starter package from €2,500, more extensive solutions in the Professional package from €8,000. For very small clubs with little content, a website builder may also be enough – we will tell you honestly in the free initial consultation.

The best solution is the one your volunteers can still maintain in a few years. What matters is a simple content management system with roles, logins registered to the club and reliable operation with updates. Whether a widely used system such as WordPress or a lean solution fits, we decide based on your requirements.

On request, we set up hosting for the club or take it over as part of a maintenance contract, including SSL encryption, backups and updates. What matters is that the contract and domain are in the club's name. For member data, we recommend a host with a data center in the EU.

The German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) mainly affects providers of certain products and services for consumers; a purely informational club website generally does not fall under it. If the club sells courses or tickets online, this should be checked. Regardless, good contrast, alternative text and keyboard operability reach more members – this note does not replace legal advice.

Training times and contacts per department, teams, schedules and reports, information on trial sessions and membership, plus your sponsors. A good display on smartphones is important, because parents and players mostly check on the go.

Social media is good for glimpses of club life, but hardly for lasting information such as bylaws, fees, training times or contacts. Moreover, the content there does not belong to the club and does not reach all members. The website is the fixed point of reference from which you link to your channels.
