Clickable prototype: test your app idea before any code is written

We turn your idea into a clickable prototype that feels like the finished application on smartphone and desktop. This lets you test workflows with real users, convince investors and create a reliable foundation for development.

Short & clear

A clickable prototype is an interactive simulation of an app, software or website – usually in Figma – in which users can click through the most important workflows without any programming having been done. It serves to test usability and the concept early and to de-risk development costs. At Nano Concepts, compact prototypes are possible in the Starter package from €2,500; the exact quote follows after the free initial consultation.

Clickable prototype with Nano Concepts

A clickable prototype shows your app or software idea the way it is meant to feel later: users tap buttons, fill in forms and move between screens – only without any programming behind it yet. When you have a prototype built, you quickly see whether your concept holds up, which steps confuse users and which features are really needed. At this stage, changes cost minutes instead of development days. That is exactly what makes the prototype the cheapest test of your idea.

01

We build clickable prototypes in Figma because you and your team can try them out and comment on them directly in the browser or in the Figma app on your smartphone. Depending on the goal, the range extends from a simple wireframe prototype that only checks workflows to a high-fidelity prototype in the final design with animations, states and real copy. The design is created together with our partner agency LOMA DESIGN, and our developers check technical feasibility from the very beginning.

02

A prototype is not an end in itself. We use it to test workflows with real users, you present your idea to investors, funding bodies or management, and developers receive an unambiguous template instead of pages of descriptions. It also helps set priorities for the first version: what has to go into the MVP, and what can wait? If the project goes ahead, the prototype serves as the basis for the functional specification, effort estimate and development – whether a mobile app, web app or internal software, which Nano Concepts can then build directly.

Scope of services

What we deliver for you

Your app or software idea as a clickable Figma prototype – for testing with users and convincing investors.

Goals & user flows

We define target groups, core tasks and the most important flows that the prototype should cover.

Wireframes

Simple screen sketches clarify structure and content before time goes into visual design.

Clickable Figma prototype

An interactive prototype with linked screens, states and transitions, testable in the browser and on a smartphone.

UI design in your brand's look

With LOMA DESIGN, we design colors, typography and components so that the prototype feels like the finished product.

User testing & evaluation

We test the prototype with people from your target group and summarize observations and improvements in clear terms.

Handoff to development

We document components, spacing and states so that a functional specification and effort estimate can be derived from them.

Your benefits

Why companies choose us

Find mistakes before they get expensive

Misunderstandings in the flow show up in the prototype – not only after developers have already implemented them.

More convincing than any presentation

Investors, management or pilot customers experience your idea on their own smartphone instead of having to imagine it.

A clear basis for the quote

A prototype makes the scope tangible, so effort can be estimated more realistically and fixed prices become more feasible.

Decisions based on user feedback

Instead of debating taste within the team, you decide based on what test participants actually do.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Clickable prototype

A clickable prototype is an interactive preview of an app, software or website in which screens are linked together. Users click through the flows as if the product were finished, even though nothing has been programmed yet. This lets you check concept and usability early and cheaply.

A compact clickable prototype for an app's core flows is possible in the Starter package from €2,500. Extensive prototypes with many screens, fully developed UI design and several rounds of testing fall more under the Professional package from €8,000. You will receive the exact quote after the free initial consultation, once scope and goal are settled.

A prototype for the most important flows is often ready in a few weeks, including alignment meetings. If user tests and revisions are part of the project, we plan additional time – but that loop is usually the most valuable part. We set the schedule at the kick-off.

Figma runs in the browser, a prototype can be shared by link and tested on a smartphone in the Figma app. Your team comments directly in the file, and developers later read dimensions, colors and components from it. For particularly elaborate interactions, we additionally use ProtoPie.

A prototype simulates the product to test concept and usability – data is not saved and functions are not executed. An MVP, by contrast, is a first working version with the smallest sensible set of features that real users use productively. The prototype is often the step before the MVP.

Yes. Nano Concepts develops mobile apps, web apps and custom software, and the design comes from LOMA DESIGN – both at the same location. The prototype thus becomes the direct template for the functional specification, quote and implementation, with no loss of information between design and development.
