Short & clear

A Shopify migration is the move of an existing online store, such as from WooCommerce or Shopware, to Shopify – including product data, customers, order history, content, theme and 301 redirects for all old URLs. Nano Concepts plans the move, tests it in a preview and switches over at an agreed time. Smaller stores can move in the Starter package from €2,500, while extensive migrations with interfaces usually fall under the Professional package from €8,000; the exact quote follows after the free initial consultation.

Shopify migration with Nano Concepts

A Shopify migration pays off when updates, plugin conflicts and server maintenance on your current store take more time than actually selling. As a Shopify migration service, we handle the entire move: products with variants and images, categories, customer accounts, order history, coupons, blog and content pages. The typical case is a Shopify migration from WooCommerce, but Shopware, Magento and custom-built stores can be transferred as well. Up front, we clarify whether Shopify really maps your assortment, pricing logic and interfaces better.

01

Visibility on Google is critical in every move. Shopify uses fixed URL structures such as /products/ and /collections/, so almost all addresses change during a migration. We create a complete redirect table from every old URL to the new one, carry over titles, meta descriptions and image alt text, and check crawling and indexing in Search Console after the switch. Nobody can credibly guarantee rankings – but a clean migration avoids the typical losses caused by missing redirects.

02

We plan the everyday details too: for technical reasons, passwords cannot be transferred, so we prepare the invitation for your customers to activate their accounts. We set up payment methods, shipping rules and tax settings anew in Shopify, integrate the legal texts from your legal advisor, and connect inventory management and accounting through apps or interfaces. If you wish, we redesign the theme together with LOMA DESIGN, so the switch is also a visible step forward.

Typical signs that Shopify migration is worth it

  • Plugin updates in WooCommerce or Shopware regularly cause errors, and every update becomes a risk.
  • Your store slows down during promotions or seasonal peaks, and hosting and maintenance take more time than planned.
  • Your store still runs on Shopware 5 or an outdated installation, and an upgrade would amount to a rebuild anyway.
  • Your team wants to manage products, promotions and content on its own, without needing a developer for every change.
  • You want to connect channels such as social commerce or marketplaces, and your current system makes that possible only with great effort.
Scope of services

What we deliver for you

Moving your store to Shopify – with products, customers, order history and clean redirects for old URLs.

Migration check & data audit

We review your data, plugins, special functions and interfaces and show what Shopify handles natively, through an app or not at all.

Product & variant transfer

Products, variants, images, categories, metafields and stock levels are transferred by import, cleaned up and reconciled against the old system.

Customers, orders & coupons

Customer accounts, order history and open coupon codes move along; we prepare invitation emails for account activation.

SEO redirects & metadata

A complete 301 redirect table, carried-over titles and descriptions, plus a check of the sitemap and indexing after go-live.

Theme, checkout & apps

Setup or redesign of the theme with LOMA DESIGN, payment and shipping settings, and a lean selection of apps instead of plugin sprawl.

Go-live & follow-up support

A delta sync of the latest orders, the domain switch at a quiet time and monitoring during the first weeks after the change.

Your benefits

Why companies choose us

Less technical upkeep

Shopify takes over hosting, security updates and scaling – plugin updates and server outages are no longer part of your day-to-day.

All your data comes along

Products, customers and order history are ready after the move, so service and marketing can carry on seamlessly.

Visibility deliberately protected

Gap-free redirects and carried-over metadata prevent the SEO losses that come with sloppy migrations.

A move without a sales pause

The new store is built and tested in parallel, and the actual switchover takes only a short time at an agreed moment.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Shopify migration

That depends on data volume, special functions and interfaces. A manageable store with standard features can move in the Starter package from €2,500; migrations with a large assortment, order history, ERP integration or a new theme usually fall under the Professional package from €8,000; we price very large stores individually as Enterprise. The binding quote follows after the free initial consultation, and we list the Shopify plan and app fees separately.

A small store with clean data can be moved in a few weeks. Many variants, custom functions or interfaces mainly extend the mapping and testing phase. The actual switchover, by contrast, takes only a short time because the new store is fully built and checked beforehand.

We export products, customers and orders from WooCommerce, clean them up and import them into Shopify in a structured way. In parallel, we set up the theme, payment methods and shipping, and create redirects from the WordPress URLs to the new Shopify addresses. Your WordPress blog can stay where it is or move as well.

No provider can give you a guarantee, because Google evaluates the new site from scratch. We prevent the most common causes of drops – missing redirects, lost metadata, changed internal links – with complete URL mapping and tests before go-live. After the switch, we monitor indexing and crawl errors in Search Console.

No. In any reputable store system, passwords are stored only as an irreversible hash and therefore cannot be carried over. Customer data and order history still move along; your customers receive an invitation to activate their account with a new password. We agree on the text of this email with you.

For small stores with few products, an import tool may be enough. Once variants, order history, coupons, redirects, interfaces and a new theme come together, it pays to have an agency that plans, tests and takes responsibility for the move. By the way, we also advise against moving if your existing system is the better fit.
