React Native App Development: One Codebase for iOS and Android

We build your app with React Native – a shared codebase produces truly native apps for iPhone and Android. That saves duplicate effort in development, testing and ongoing development, without giving up camera, push notifications or offline features.

Short & clear

React Native is an open-source framework developed by Meta that turns a shared JavaScript or TypeScript codebase into native apps for iOS and Android – the interface uses real native UI components instead of a web view. In React Native app development, Nano Concepts handles concept, design with LOMA DESIGN, development, backend and publication in the App Store and Google Play. Lean prototypes start in the Starter package from €2,500, complete apps typically fall under the Professional package from €8,000 or the Enterprise package; the exact quote follows after the free initial consultation.

React Native app development with Nano Concepts

In React Native app development, a shared codebase produces one app for the iPhone and one for Android. Unlike pure web containers, React Native renders real native UI components – lists scroll smoothly, gestures feel familiar, and features such as camera, location, push notifications or biometric login are fully available. For you, that means one development team instead of two, the same features on both platforms at the same time, and enhancements that only have to be implemented once.

01

We use React Native with TypeScript and, as a rule, with Expo. Expo simplifies builds, testing on real devices and publishing to the App Store and Google Play; smaller fixes can be delivered over the air when needed, without waiting for a new store review – within the store guidelines. Where a feature has to reach deeper into the operating system, for example with Bluetooth devices or special hardware, we add native modules in Swift or Kotlin. That way you get the efficiency of a shared codebase without running into technical limits.

02

If your website or web app already runs on React, knowledge, data models and parts of the business logic can be shared between web and app. The design is created together with our partner agency LOMA DESIGN, and we build the backend and interfaces ourselves – you have one point of contact from the first sketch to the store listing. From app projects such as a service technician app with offline synchronization, we know what matters in everyday use: weak network coverage, growing data volumes and users with no time for long explanations.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about React Native app development

Costs depend mainly on the scope of features, the backend and the interfaces to your systems. A lean prototype can start in the Starter package from €2,500, complete apps with a backend typically fall under the Professional package from €8,000, and extensive platforms under the Enterprise package with individual quoting. You will receive the exact quote after the free initial consultation.

React Native runs the app logic in JavaScript or TypeScript and uses it to control the native UI components of iOS and Android. Users therefore don't see a website in an app shell but real native interfaces. For features that reach deeper into the system, native modules in Swift or Kotlin can be added.

A clearly scoped MVP is often ready for release in a few weeks to a few months; extensive apps with many interfaces take longer. On top of that comes the review by Apple and Google, which we plan for from the start. After the product workshop, you will receive a realistic schedule.

For many business apps, React Native is an economical choice because one codebase serves both platforms. Purely native development can make sense if an app relies heavily on platform-specific features or complex graphics. We advise you honestly on this – even if a progressive web app or native development ends up being the better fit.

An app consists of more than code: design, backend, store listings, data protection and ongoing updates are part of it. At Nano Concepts, development, backend and – with LOMA DESIGN – design come from a single source. That way your project doesn't depend on one individual, and you still have fixed contacts.

Yes. We first review code quality, the libraries used and the React Native version, and show you which updates are needed. We raise outdated dependencies step by step so that the app continues to meet the current requirements of the App Store and Google Play.
